This is a public display of the photography of Matt DeVore, an amateur photographer tinkering in the Wooster and Ashland, Ohio area. I label my photography, Visions of Rapture.
Why the name "Visions of Rapture?"
I had been sharing my photos on my personal Facebook profile. A lot of people were praising my work and suggesting I do more with it. I thought it would be worthwhile to set up Facebook page as a more public space. I had to think of a name and Visions of Rapture came to me pretty quickly. Literally, Visions refers to the things seen in the photographs and Rapture (joy or happiness) is what I and others feel when we see them. But if you’re familiar with hymns then you’ll recognize that I lifted the title from the lyrics of Blessed Assurance by Fanny J. Crosby. While this ongoing collection of photos is not intended as a gospel sermon, I do believe that our Creator endows us with the ability to appreciate beauty and much of what I enjoy photographing is His handiwork.
